Dr. Philip Lewis – PrincipalAs Principal of BCDD, the Inter-Faith Adviser to the Bishop of Bradford and a specialist on Christian-Muslim relations Philip Lewis sits on a number of regional, national and international committees: National Christian Muslim Forum, Churches Regional Commission, the national ecumenical body - Churches Commission on Inter-faith Relations, and the European Churches’ ‘Islam in Europe’ committee. He is also a member of the Commission on British Muslims and Islamophobia and lectures within the Department of Peace Studies at the University of Bradford. He is well regarded for his academic work, giving many papers both here and abroad on Christian Muslim relations and the role of Muslims in civic and public society. Philip is currently looking forward to the publication of his new book 'Young, British and Muslim' in November. |

| Dr. Helen Reid - Programme DirectorDr Helen Reid is Director of Bradford Churches for Dialogue and Diversity. Helen completed a PhD in Peace Studies focussing on Religious Education in schools (1997) and post doctoral research in multi faith social action. Since leaving academia, she has worked in the field of mission and ministry among people of other faiths for over ten years. Her experience began with grassroots work in Bradford and she later worked nationally for Faith to Faith focussing on research and training. Back in Bradford again after a five year gap, her work combines a local base with regional and national networks. |
